By default, tags and additional fields do not move to a deal card when a new deal is created manually. The functionality to copy additional fields and tags from the buyer (company or contact) card can be enabled in the settings. In order to move additional fields information from the buyer to the deal card, it is necessary to combine the values of the additional fields as well.

2. How to map custom fields?

Note: Additional fields can be of several types i.e. text, numbers, money, data, one variation, many variations, URLs, checkboxes, long text. It is optional to map custom fields if the type of the field matches. I.e. there is no way to take the information from the text type field to a multi-select type of field.

2.1. To map custom field values navigate to Settings > Customization > Custom fields > select the company or people tabs and click Custom field mapping.

2.2. On the left, you will see additional fields for people/companies, and on the right, you will see additional fields for deals. In the deal column, select the field you want the information to move to from the buyer (company/contact) card. Note: If you see "unspecified" when expanded, it means that there are no corresponding type of field created under the deals tab. If you wish to create more fields - navigate back to the custom field settings and create or copy fields. For more information about custom fields please click here.

2.3. Click Save for the changes to apply.
