Mandatory fields. How to make fields mandatory to fill when creating new contacts?

When creating new Lead, People or Company manually, there is only one field mandatory to fill - Leads/People name or Company title. Teamgate allows making more fields as mandatory. Without filling the information to the mandatory fields - the system won't allow saving the new record.

1. How to make the fields mandatory?

Click your avatar on the right-top corner > navigate to Settings > Customization > Mandatory fields.

1.1. Mandatory fields for Leads and People.

One or all of the following fields may be set as mandatory:

  • Name

  • Source

  • Company;

  • Phone;

  • Email address.

To make the field mandatory - click the red button and activate it. Green bubble indicates that the field is mandatory.

In the "Create new Lead/People" form the mandatory fields will be signed with the * symbol. Without entering the information into the mandatory fields, the system won't allow saving new Lead and you will see the warning "Please fill the mandatory fields".

1.2. Mandatory fields for Companies.

One or all of the following fields may be set as mandatory:

  • Company;

  • Source;

  • Registration number;

  • VAT code;

  • Phone;

  • Email address.

To make the field mandatory - click the red button and activate it. Green bubble indicates that the field is mandatory.

In the "Create new Company" form the mandatory fields will be signed with the * symbol. Without entering the information into the mandatory fields, the system won't allow saving new Company and you will see the warning "Please fill the mandatory fields".
